This is it!!

I go in to the hospital in THREE short days to be induced. Baby K will be making his/her appearance on Thursday, May 24th if all goes as planned. CRAZY! We just had our "last weekend" as a twosome. Next weekend we'll hopefully be bringing our baby home that we've anxiously waited for all these months! My friend Kim took some pictures of Bill and I this weekend down here on the beach. This will probably be our last posting WITHOUT pictures of the bambino!!

Baby Shower in North Carolina!!

At 35 weeks (on April 28th) Baby K was fortunuate enough to attend another Baby shower given for him/ her in Raleigh by our good buddies. Thank you SO MUCH to the Bests, Bradleys, Styers, Zadells, Hills, Hakooz, Mathews crew! What a great time we had with our family and friends. This child already has a VERY good life! Just less than a month and we should have an appearance from our baby that is growing, moving, kicking, and making Mama feel very uncomfortable :-)
Here are some fun pictures to share with you all from this weekend!

3D sonogram at 33 weeks

We had our first visit with our doctor in Virginia Beach today, and we loved him. He suprised us today and did a 3D sonogram of our baby! We had never had this done before, but it was so cool. Don't get freaked out by the other stuff going on in the picture, but you can see the facial features of our little bundle of joy. It was the most amazing thing, I couldn't stop tearing up. The doctor said the baby looked more like Papa....but it does have some hair, like its Mama (Papa was born a baldy). And the doctor was amazed at the BIG feet! We heard a nice healthy heartbeat, and everything looked good they said. It was a fun day, so we wanted to share with you. The baby weighs 4 lbs and 7 oz. Right on target for a late May due date.

Just about 8 weeks to go!

Today is "Moving Day" for us. This is our last night officially in our first home we bought almost 3 years ago, can't believe it. I am feeling good and just getting BIGGER, which is expected I guess! We had our last appt. with my doctor up here in DC this week and she is happy with the way everything looks. I will be going to the doctor every two weeks going forward. The baby is about 4 lbs right now and is already "in position" with the head down. The doctor's guess is that I'll have a 7 1/2 pound baby. I like that, because Bill and I were both in the upper 8 pound range. Baby K is a very active one and kind of on a schedule, which is really fun and funny to see it moving all over the place, especially at night. I wonder if it will be on this same schedule when he/she is here!? Would be nice :-)

Week 30.....really starting to grow

I am now 30 weeks and the count down feels like it is really beginning! I can't believe the other day I said to someone I am in my third trimester....unreal. We move in just two weeks and then the bambino will be here before we know it. The pregnancy has been great. I think I have had the "pleasure" of experiencing every possible symptom out there but that comes with the territory. We go to the doctor this week so I'll send any updates if we have any new developments. This is me (getting BIG) on St. Patricks Day - yes there is green somewhere in the sweater! Bill MADE me put this "fun" picture on the blog, he said I needed to do something more exciting when posing....boy, don't I look exciting! ha ha...

Our babymoon trip...

We took a quick weekend getaway to Nemocolin last weekend. It was a beautiful resort in Western Pennsylvania where we did some major R&R. Figured it was the last time for awhile that the two of us could get away "stress free" and enjoy some quality husband/ wife time. It was great! I induldged in a prenatal massage while Bill got beat up with a deep tissue massage. We had a wonderful time. Even though I couldn't enjoy the wine at Nemocolin, I had my picture taken with this beautiful bottle of wine that was 1/2 the size of me!!
